mindfulness & emotional regulation

the core of what i have to offer is mindfulness & emotional regulation. i believe that if you can practice, and master, these 2 skills you can ride whatever wave life brings your way.

mindfulness

the art of being present; the art of being. mindfulness is the practice of anchoring your awareness in the present moment, living fully in each moment. 
so many of our problems and issues trace back to our inability to be present, getting stuck in what happened already or what hasn't happened yet. 
mindfulness is a simple solution, but simple doesn’t mean easy. creating change requires an intentional, consistent and deliberate practice. 

emotional regulation

the ability to ride the highs and lows, the ability to navigate emotional activation - the ability to feel your feelings without attachment or avoidance. 
the buddha taught to hold your suffering like a mother holds her baby; polyvagal theory teaches us to use empathy and understanding to relate to our emotions. 
the ability to regulate your emotions, and manage your mental/emotional health is a highly underrated and undervalued skill; it's life changing.
